The Touches playbook

Weak-foot soccer practice with a ball and a wall

Build a deliberate weaker-foot practice routine using controlled juggles and wall returns.

Make space for the ball, your feet, and the next touch.
01

Make the easier version first

For juggling, use a drop, one touch and a catch with the less comfortable foot. For passing, start with a gentle ground return and enough time to receive it. Keep the difficulty low enough to repeat a controlled movement.

02

Alternate instead of avoiding

Alternate feet during a short drill. If you always switch back to the more comfortable foot when the ball drifts, reset the attempt and try the easier version again.

03

Watch control before speed

Check whether the ball stays within reach and whether the next pass feels deliberate. Add pace after the controlled version is repeatable.

04

Use foot labels carefully

The app’s left/right attribution is an estimate from visible landmarks and can remain unclassified. Do not treat those labels as a validated assessment of foot balance. A deliberate drill plan is more useful than relying on a label alone.
